Yes. Each is a heavy, concentrated load, so both thickness and reinforcement step up and rebar goes in wherever the load earns it. Anything set near the water also wants thicker cover on the steel and a base that will not shift as the sand wets and dries. Send us the specs and the pad gets shaped around them.

Do I need a vapor barrier under the slab?

For an enclosed or conditioned slab, usually yes, since a high water table and damp coastal sand push moisture up through concrete. We make the call from how the slab will actually be used.

Does a concrete slab require a permit?

Some do, by size, placement, and use, and the rules run through the City of Naples or Collier County, with extra review common near the water and in flood zones. When a permit looks likely we say so early so it does not surface mid-job.
